Reviews of Richard III. Henry IV pts 1 and 2
Sil-El
There were some really good reviews of both Richard II and Henry IV parts 1 & 2 in August 2007. Lex gets a mention in most of them and they are all favourable.

The Stage said - "One must also note Lex Shrapnel, a newcomer of great promise, instantly catching the eye as a Harry Percy raring to go"

The Times - "The unequivocal successes of the trilogy are Lex Shrapnel, a fiercely restless Hotspur"

The Financial Times - "Lex Shrapnel’s Hotspur in Part 1, as well as sporting the requisite amount of choler, is both unexpectedly sardonic at times and the cause of sardonicism in others"

The Observer - "Lex Shrapnel's flashing-eyed, graceful, alluring Hotspur does the play proud"

The Sunday Times - ". The “good” son Henry wishes for is Hotspur, whose fatal heroism is well embodied by Lex Shrapnel, as his anger drives him to challenge his king"

London Evening Standard - "Lex Shrapnel's wild, wonderful Hotspur, with his big belligerent eyes and spasm of serious rage, seized the limelight"

We shall ignore The Daily Mail which was more concerned with Lex's name and the length of his hair than with his performance...
